Drinking bowl, earthenware, painted curvilinear designs in red on light orange ground on inside, coated with plant sap. Four small projecting lips on rim. Cuming label on inside: 'Drinking bowl of Caribbee Tribe, earthenware, British Guyana'. From the Guiana Exhibition, 1840, collected by Robert Schomburgk in South America, 1835-9.
