Calabash bowl, blackened on the inside, coloured red on the outside, decorated with mineral pigments, sealed with a plant sap. Collected by Robert Schomburgk in British Guyana, South America 1835-1839. Bought by Richard Cuming at the Guiana Exhibition of 1840.
